Shipping Option 6 & 7

(an easy one, but you can make it hard if you want)

Option 6: Calculated by quantity in bands

This option is similar to option 4 except that the same shipping charge is made for all orders that fall within the bands you set. For example; the first product might be charged $10 and any additional quantity from two to six products an extra $2. So a customer is charged $12 regardless of whether they buy two items or six items.
Note that the charges and quantities are cumulative.
Finally you can assign shipping to a maximum of five zones, for example; local, national,
international and so on.

The "qty" tag in a hyperlink or a hidden field in a form is necessary to send the information to the cart to utilize this shipping option. The zone names can be whatever you need and choose. Local, county, state and so forth. With this option we are dealing with the quantity of products. Not weight.
If you sell products in minimum (minimum order=3 for example) quantities, put some thought into how that will work with this option. In other words, is 3 items going to equal one shipping value or three shipping values? You can make it as easy or as complicated as you want.
In the example below it costs 3.95 to send one widget, 5.95 to send 5 widgets, 6.95 to send 10 widgets and 7.45 to send 15 of the little stinkers. 16 and above there's no additional charge and it doesn't make any difference what color they are. The International zone is set up the same except for an increase in shipping charges from 6.95 to a maximum of 13.45

(Tip with "tongue in cheek") If you don't want to sell more than 15 widgets at a time, in "The Rest" box, put something like 10,000 or 20,000. Whatever it takes. Then again, some wise guy may order a million of 'em and you'll need to charge only that much for shipping. But, what the hay, if you sell a million, you're not going to argue about a $7.45 shipping charge. You're just going to worry about how you're going to make that many.

Option 7: Calculated by weight or other value in bands
The principle is exactly the same as option 6 but is based on the sum of the values posted (with the units field).
