Congratulations. You have just about graduated from Mals
101. Option 8 an easy way to add shipping on a "per product" basis. You don't
have to worry about figuring out what value to put in a "units" field in your
link. Just add the amount you want to charge for shipping and slap it to it. Be aware
though, that this option is for special uses only. If the customer deletes or reduces
a product quantity in the cart, the shipping charge will remain as originally posted to
the cart. The charges will be "summed" but not "deducted".

Option 8: Posting your own
value
In this case the cart won't calculate shipping but takes a
value you post in with your links. The field should be called shipping and the cart
will accumulate what is posted with it. |
The format is thusly (is that a
word?)............. shipping=3.95
Add it to your link as shown below. Don't forget the "&" symbol and
remember NO SPACES and NO $ sign. We now have everything we need. We're
telling the browser where the cart is, who we are, what we want to put in the cart, the
price, how much shipping we're charging, and where to come back to.

This field may or
may not work in a form. I have no reason to suspect that it won't, but I haven't tried it
in a form yet. Until I have the time, you may want to try it your self. If it works please
let me know so I can save some time. Just insert it somewhere in your form as shown below.
