If you have a need to take unsecured cheques,
Try this, I think you'll like it.

1) Go to Admin', then go to the link that says, "Currency and Cart Messages". Then cut and paste the script below into the "PAYMENTS MESSAGE" on the bottom of the page. Then press the "submit" button.

Important

If paying by Cheque or Postal Order, the next page will display your
Order Number and Payment Instructions.
Please print or copy this information, it will not be displayed again.

2) At the same time while in the "Currency and Cart Message" area, cut and paste the below script into the, "EXIT MESSAGE - UNSECURED PAYMENTS" box.

Please send £{amount} with Order Number {shopperid}
on the back of your cheque payable to:
Your business name
Your street name
your city and post code/zip code
Print

Now you'll never worry about Cheques.

EPILOGUE: Now is a good time to put your feet up on your desk, and have a Havana cigar.
